Prayer
Weekly Prayer Meeting - Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m.
At St. Paul’s we are convinced of the importance of prayer. We realize of course what is said in Ephesians 6:18 that we are to pray at all times. We are further instructed to ask God for anything in line with the Holy Spirit’s wishes.
Following a time of praise and thanks to God, we pray specifically for individuals, groups, and events. On a regular basis we pray for:
Our Pastor, his family and their ministry among us
The Elders and their spiritual walk and leadership
The Board of Managers and their commitments
The Choir and Music Director
Sunday school and the leaders and teachers
Library staff and program
LifeConnect Groups
Adult Bible classes
Our Youth Group and its leaders
Usually some time is spent raising up to God by name, those known to us who are ill, lonely, grieving a loss, or troubled in a any way. We have also been praying for the world situation and especially leaders and governments. We agree with the Moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Canada when he said, “PRAYER IS POWERFUL.”
