Kidz Konnection

Sunday School, called Kidz Konnection, is a weekly program running in parallel with the worship service from 10-11:00 a.m., beginning in September and ending in June. (Informal programming is available during the worship service in the summer months)

yahero

Hey Parents! Got a Kid who likes video games (and who doesn't)? Check out Yahero at www.yahero.com

A couple of years ago, the Canadian Bible Society was given the opportunity to create a unique ministry opportunity for children and young people, and the ground work began on what is now called Yahero.  Made with the creative genius of EyeseeTV, Yahero (short for Yahweh our Hero) is an online gaming experience that has been professionally designed and tested with children (so it’s cool…or is that phat?  Or sick?  I can’t keep track…).  It uses first-class animation and technology to allow kids an allegorical gaming experience that will encourage them to read the Bible.

You can learn more about Yahero here.  That link will also let you explore the game, which is receiving add-ons weekly as it rolls out.

Full engagement in the game will entail a minimal cost, but I think it would be worth it to get kids playing games that are going to build their spiritual lives.

We tend to think that the spiritual development of our families is not about fun and games.  Well, now, maybe it is.  Check out Yahero today, and share the link with kids you know.

Kidz Konnection Penny Drive: Well Project

In support of our Missions Project to raise money for a Well, the Kidz Konnection Program is having a Penny Drive. Each week the students will bring in any pennies or coins they have saved through the week that will be deposited into our "Well Bank". The Kidz Konnection contributions will be counted and donated to the Well Campaign in December, April and June. A deep well fitted with a hand pump can provide up to 2,800 gallons of safe water a day to benefit as many as 300 people! In many communities, clean water lies hundreds of feet below layers of hard rock. Children have no choice but to walk long distances to find water that is often dirty and disease-ridden. When our drilling teams strike water, entire villages erupt in celebration because a clean water source can cut a community’s child mortality rate by as much as half.

Christmas Musical

The annual Christmas musical is presented by the children and friends of St. Paul's as an outreach to the community. In 2009 "It's a Wonder-full Life" conveyed the message that Christmas is NOT about presents but about the gift of salvation when Jesus came into the world.
