Purpose: We are a community of Christians whose purpose, in response to the love of God in Jesus Christ, is to encourage one another and all the people of the church to be involved in local and world mission through prayer, study, service and fellowship.

Why Should I Join? A LifeConnect Group is a “small group” – which is a bit of an oxymoron, when you think about it. Small groups have their origin in the New Testament, when the early followers of Jesus would get together in small numbers, in groups, to worship, pray, study and serve. In fact, much of the early church functioned in small groups. One could even say that Jesus and his twelve disciples constituted the original small group!
Spreading the LOVE of the Lord and the LOVE of our neighbours, the distribution of St. Paul’s Love Bags began in December 2021. During 2022, St. Paul’s distributed over 600 Love Bags to those in need. The Love Bags contain a devotional, personal hygiene items and cleaning products that are essential but often times not affordable to some during these challenging times. The number of recipients has increased through 2022 primarily due to the rising cost of inflation and the impact of COVID on many families not being able to work.
The Missions team desires to raise the level of awareness of God’s work in the world and to increase engagement in it. To achieve that goal, the team coordinates the support of missions in Canada and beyond, and brings regular news reports back to the congregation. We have ongoing involvement with some individuals and organizations that we support and there are also special projects that we choose to become involved with.
“The church lives to praise God. We have no higher calling than to offer the worship that belongs to God day by day, Sunday by Sunday. Through the preaching of the Word and the celebration of the Sacraments, in praise, prayer, teaching and fellowship, God sustains the life of the church. We worship God as Lord offering ourselves in the service of Christ, rejoicing that we have been brought from darkness to light. Blessing and honour and glory and power be to our God for ever and ever!”
